I was trying to compile a list of polishes that have failed me in 2011. You can imagine I take it personally if I invest time, money and myself emotionally, and then the polish just isn’t what it promised to be in the beginning when we started dating. Yeah, polish can be like that!
So here is one polish I was particularly unhappy with: Sally Hansen Pumpkin Spice.
Why, you will ask – well, it’s simple. It is a brown jelly base with orange glitter. It is bitchy, doesn’t level well, looks horrible, drags and is just an unfortunate combination. I don’t get it why Sally Hansen would want to make a polish pendant of Pumpkin Spice (latte, or whatever) – you wouldn’t buy a polish that is calles “Sewer on 52nd Street” either, would you?
I actually have to admit that it looks better on my photos than it did in real life, which is surprising. Still, in my facebook group, there was at the time of its release such a hype for this polish, and I can’t tell you why, but it made everyone love this polish. Group pressure – we’re all prone to it, right?! Nevertheless, I have made up my mind, and I must say, this is the worst polish for me which was released in 2011. There is a second worst polish, but I keep that for another happy day! My only regret is that I received this polish in a swap from a friend and I hope she doesn’t take it the wrong way that I really don’t like Pumpkin Spice….
