Cupcake Murder

Today I have a deep bloodread polish to show to you: KIKO #224 or “Dark Pearly Copper“. I actually bought this for my friend E. who had been so helpful with regards to making pictures of me for the How I Wore It posts.

She prefers medium red cremes, but I found this dark red so elegant, I decided to get it for her. Eventually, I couldn’t convince her to strive from her “red nail polish or none at all” conviction, so I decided to wear it at least once!

I used two coats for full coverage. I have to apologize as the pictures aren’t perfect, but those are the only ones on my camera, and I couldn’t pass on showing you this vampy color, as it is so perfect for fall.

I’m guessing that all of you know that France is known for cheese, wine and baguette – and when it comes to desserts, macaroons. Recently thought the Cupcake hype arrived in Paris too, and when we found this cute little bakery called “Berko”, 23 Rue Rambuteau  75004 Paris, we had to get some of their extremely detailled, lovingly decorated mini cupcakes.

It would be mean to tell you about them and then not show them, right? I decided to order a “Dexter” cupcake, which was named after the television show. The clue to the cupcake is that it is decorated with a pipette which is filled with red berry juice – you can squeeze the berry juice into the middle of the cupcake, so you have a freshly filled mini cupcake. Delicious!

We started joking around when E. was making pictures of the nail polish and the cupcake and we decided that a knife was neede on the pictures – Dexter style.

Are you craving cupcakes yet? And do you like the television show Dexter?
