To my humongeous and overwhelming shame I have to admit that I collect butter LONDON polishes, but wear them much to little. After a year of ownership over butter LONDON The Black Knight, I can happily report I’ve worn it twice. That is much too little love for any good polish!
One of the butter LONDON polishes I looked forward to this summer was Trout Pout. I have anti-coral skin, which results in most coral polishes looking absolutely horrifingly stripper-esque on me. My hope was that it’d be different with Trout Pout.
Application was good, two coats, one coat of topcoat. The first coat with butter LONDONs is, in my experience, always very bad. You really have to apply a second and sometimes a third coat to find the magic. Trout Pout works after two coats, it levels out and all, wonderful. 
The only problem, again!, was the color. I should maybe just give up on coral, but I still like the color too much. It’s frustrating if something just won’t fit, right? 
P.S.: You all know what a trout pout is, right?
Coral is one of those tough colors that it seems like only a few people happily pull off. I had the same issues that you’re having, only with BL All Hail the Queen. Just not a complimentary color on my hands.

Du hast wunderschöne Fingernägel, gepflegte Nagelhaut, von daher finde ich auch das Koralle nicht unschön an dir. Aber ich kann das nachempfinden.
Was bei mir gar nicht geht, sind gelbe Lacke, schade, denn an anderen gefällt mir das immer sehr gut. Mal sehen ob ich die “Anti-Gelb-Phase” auch mal überwinden werde.
Ich hatte auch das Problem, dass ich dachte meine Hautfarbe passt nicht zu korallfarbenen Lacken, dabei liebe ich diese ebenso sehr. Mittlerweile habe ich eine nette Ansammlung dieses Farbtons und lackiere sie auch gerne, die Farbliebe hat gewonnen.

Ich liebe gelb-ich finde, es geht sogar bei mir, oder ich hab da auch die farbliebe-Brille auf
Also ich denke mal es liegt einfach an deiner Hautfarbe, vielleicht musst du dein Hände ein bisschen mehr in die Sonne halten xD Spaß bei Seite, mir steht Coral zb auch nur im Sommer, wenn meine Haut richtig Braun ist. Und ja, ich differenziere zwischen Sommer und Winterlacken. Mit dem Auftragen und Butter London gebe ich dir recht, es ist leider meist so das die erste Schicht wirklich schlimm aussieht.
…dafür ist die zweite Schicht toll!
Ich werd nicht viel dunkler im Sommer, also coral&ich=vorbei!
