In the nail polish world, most questions are black and white, as a counterpart to all the nail polish colors. One of the black and white questions is, are you a Cultie, or are you not. I myself do love some Cult Nails polishes, but I can’t really picture myself as a Cultie of any kind of Cult. I much prefer to say that I am a fan of Cult Nails nailpolishes, and especially this one. deal with it. (pun intended)
I actually ordered this polish from Cult Nails and also received it in a swap from my friend M., who knows my weakness for a pretty green, especially with a golden shimmer. I’m wearing this polish on my toes, constantly, without tipwear, for over a month now (I should change it, I know, but my feet are just so far away…!).
It is, by far, the most amazing green I own. That’s actually not true. Let me rephrase. It is the most amazing green of this tone of green that I own. Deal with it is almost neon, that’s how vibrant it is. Application wise was this the best Cult Nails polish I have. The first coat is disappointingly sheer, but the second coat reassures you, that this is a great polish. The shimmer transfers very well from the bottle to the nail, maybe Chanel should take some lessons in polish making from Maria (the owner of Cult Nails)?
As I wore this on the weekend, I was free to add as many glitters as I felt like. I recently re-discovered my love for glitter gradients, so I decided to go for that. I just loosely painted over Deal with it, starting from the cuticle area, and dabbing on more glitter closer to the cuticle area, fading out towards the middle of the nail. I used Cult Nails Happy Ending, a shredded glitter (there’s a dupe from ICING, which bled like crazy!), China Glaze Marry a Millionaire (bar glitter) and China Glaze Snowglobe, which is iridiscent glitter, so I put it on last.
I love the look of it – it reminds me of an overly happy flowerbed on a super green lawn. What do you think?

It was really an easy one, and while I tried out more gradients this summer, there is one thing I learned: it doesn’t work using a grey creme and a dark, vampy shimmer. Looks horrible.

I wore the whole thing with a blue-purple pullover from Etam, which has a super cute bow tie in the back. The pullover is also from Paris, where I bought it during sale. It was hard to believe that noone else had taken it before me – it’s super soft and cute. Yeah, I kinda like it.
This is my knee. It is a bit more photogenic than the rest of me.
If you’re wondering what I’m doing there, I’m trying to have La grande Arche on my head. It is much more funny in German, because the word “Arche” sounds like the equivalent of the English word ass, whereas I would be trying to have an ass on my heat. This is btw not my vacation humor, this is my alltime humor. I just mostly don’t share that, because it makes people doubt my intelligence (and, whith reason, if I might add).
The gradient itself was easy to make. KIKO 355 applies flawlessly and covers in two coats. Essie braziliant is a very well pigmented orange shimmer and hence it is easy to make a gradient with the two of them.
Here you can see how awesome my nailpolish fits to my shoes! The shoes are a Paris Sale purchase – I got them from Gallerie Lafayette – and I absolutely adore them!
Clearly there is also a fountain, and I love fountains! La Defense (that’s the area called in which you find La Grande Arche) is a newer area of Paris, and you can take the Metro to get there or the faster train called RER. It is worth a visit, because it offers a welcome change to Paris’ busy streets, plus it is a very green area, which I enjoyed quite a bit!
On this picture you can’t see my nail polish but I wanted to include it because I look so awesome. Actually, I’m wearing the same blouse just now, it was one of the best purchases this summer. It’s from H&M and it was only 9,99€! The Cardigan is from GAP, also acquired during the sale. It is from brushed wool, which sound super fancy. The pants are grey jeans from Kookai and the bag if from Freitag. Freitag bags are pretty much the only bags I like.
Again, my more photogenic knee in the pedestrian zone between (mostly) L’Arc de Triomphe and La Grande Arche. It’s a fun place to be at lunch, because all the working people walk around suited up between the big skyscrapers. It is also a pretty windy place, so if you visit, wear pants!
